If you get a tree of apples...

I finally got a fruit picker. So I picked a ton of apples. Gave some away. Ate some. And made apple sauce with the rest. It was pretty damn good too.

Then I paid Parker a few bucks to pick up all the rotten apples that had fallen and the squirrels half ate. I think he must have picked up over 100 apples total. I also made him put them in the compost bin. He did a great job and was happy to earn the money.
