Party Prep

With only two more days until Parker's party, party prep is in full swing Chez Long. I've not only ordered a cake and cupcakes, I tried to make an angry bird cake today. My friend Kika lent me her pan. She did one for her son, Parker's BFF. But Kika is more patient and skilled then I am, so the result is much different. Still, here is my practice cake. I'll give it another go on Friday. See if I can smooth out the fondant better.



We've also been doing lots of cutting. First for the balloons we'll be making.



Then there is the cut outs for the angry bird tshirts we'll be making.

We've also got angry bird tattoos, games, sling shots, posters, figurines, edible cupcake toppers and lots and lots of golden eggs. I made a treasure hunt where each kid finds an egg (which is filled with angry bird gummy candy). And just in case kids are more mellow, some coloring pages. Oh, and Parker's presents...an angry bird lunchbox and angry bird fleece blanket. And the Wheel of Fortune Board Game complete with spinner.

My goal is to so completely immerse these kids in Angry Bird nonsense that we'll never have to hear about it again. Wish us luck.
