Easter
The kids woke up this morning and Parker remembered it was Easter. So I immediately got out the baskets Grammy and Ginny made then. They were filled with all sorts of fun stuff like purses, gloves, hats, glasses, bubbles and of course a chocolate bunny. Parker also got a Pre-K workbook. We won't tell Grammy he is doing 2nd grade stuff already. :) Miranda was in quite a mood in the morning and didn't really get into any of the easter joy for a long while. But then she wanted to wear the gloves and carry around her purse.
The boys then got to work on their Math related Treasure hunt to find their bunnies and little chocolate eggs along the way. Amy had made up many good clues that the boys had to figure out and then decode. They all had fun and found their bunnies.
A little bit later, it was outside for some egg hunting. Amy had placed some hard boiled eggs, blown out eggs, chocolate eggs and three chocolate bunnies for the girls outside around 8:15. The hunt was about 9am. But it became evident very quickly that two of the bunnies and some of the chocolate eggs were missing. We were all wondering what the deal was until we saw a squirrel run off with one of the eggs. Holy Moly! Amy quickly went to 'borrow' Grammy's bunnies for the hunt and then spent the rest of the time trying to keep the squirrel away. He (or she) was one brazen egg stealer. We were all wondering how he was going to deal with the foil.
Miranda must have eaten 10 little eggs, all before 9:30 in them morning. Parker was pretty damn happy too. De-licious!
