Random nonsense
I walked into the backyard this morning and heard what sounded like a motor running somewhere. But upon careful inspection, there was no motor to be found. I looked up and saw literally hundreds and hundreds of bees dining on some flowers from the tree next to the deck. I slowly went back into the house.
Miranda has some strange rash on her stomach. I'm not one to care about baby rashes, but this one is odd. It is only on her stomach. It has been there several days. Eli doesn't have it. The advise nurse thought chicken pox at first. I thought flea bites. Apparently we are both wrong. Hopefully the Dr. can figure it out today when we go in.
All the kids slept through the night last night in their own beds. No waking up at all for any of them. (That is a rare occurence...although usually it is Parker that does the waking.) This morning, Eli woke up first and started her dolphin cries. Parker woke up next and entertained Eli for a bit. Then Miranda woke up, pissed off at something. So Parker tried to leave the room, but couldn't manage the door. So we all got up.
There is a garbage lock out in Oakland. We didn't have garbage pick up for 2 weeks and then they came to our block (only). No pick up today (3rd week) and no end in sight. With three in diapers, it isn't pretty nor does it smell so good around here.
Michael and I played speed scrabble last night. I lost, as I usually do, which is fine. What isn't fine is that the chess clock we use to play is still ticking and we can't, short of breaking it, figure out a way to make it stop.
Miranda crawled up some stairs the other day. She just started up them and kept going, as if she had done this 100 times.
Another employee has quit at my old job. We are having a party for her Sunday. Sad. (The quitting, not the party.)
Parker was entertaining the troops the other day. They love him.
And finally, Elizabeth seems to like the tracks as much as Parker does.
