A good day.
The babies woke up right on time today after sleeping through the night. (yay!) Eli chatted with herself and then with Miranda until I went up to get them at 6:30. Amy and Julia came in shortly after. We all played and ate for a while. The girls took a short nap, but I pretended I was Michael and "made" them go back to sleep for a bit longer. Then Shayna and Christina came over to chat about the work and see the babies. Then lunch and another nap. Mine for 2 hours! Then a trip to Target. Back home for some play time and a bath. Babies were down by 6:10. And now we have dinner. Yum.

Hello Rachel (and Amy, I hope);
I finally responded to a months'-old letter of Judy's, and as I asked her to send pictures, I realized she doesn't need to do that. I had both of your sites in my bookmarks, but I must admit they are not among the well-worn ones. I'm not a good enough great aunt, I guess. Tell me - in the pictures from the last post - the baby with the hair is Amy's? I'm a bit out of touch, although I did see the pictures of all the girls as very tiny babies. Peter looks unchanged (perhaps longer) but I'd not recognize Oliver - nor do I have Sam's visage firmly in my mind.
If you send me your e-mail (mine is akirsh@udel.edu) I can reciprocate with pictures of my cat. No great news from Philadelphia, except that my back "garden" (a 20'x20' bare patch of earth with a cherry tree in the corner) now has a tall wooden fence around it (eliminating the excellent view of the neighbors' row of trash cans), and it is time to build a garden from scratch. My most creative project of the moment.
Who knows when I will see any of you (well, I should see Amy et all in Feb., 2009, when I've a meeting in LA), so I do enjoy your blog.
Much love,
Andrea
