Hamster Issues

Apparently on the second morning of my trip with Miranda, Zeke somehow managed to get Rainbow out of his/her cage. Elizabeth found them playing a game of cat and mou...I mean, hamster and was none too thrilled. Michael described it like this:

"Elizabeth came over to me with this horrified expression saying, 'Daddy! Daddy! Zeke has something in his mouth!'"

Michael was able to get Rainbow back safely and I have since purchased a new kind of cage. We still have the problem of Zeke knocking the cage over which would make the cage break to pieces, but have put Rainbow on a high solitary shelf in Parker's room since Parker seems to be the only one that can sleep through Rainbow's marathon training sessions each night.

What the hell was I thinking?????
