More Fair and Lake

We went back to the fair today so Parker could enjoy it. As we were driving in and I was telling Michael a story about how I had paid for some stranger to feed the giraffes at the zoo in sacramento and how I did something similar the day before. Random acts of kindness. Then this guy runs over to us and gives us a parking pass and admission ticket. Then in line someone else gave us another ticket! So great to get free stuff considering how much money we spent at the fair.

We were a bit early for the rides and animals so the kids made some picture frames (that we of course forgot to go back and get) in the garden area. Parker was talking the ear off the poor volunteer.

Then the kids got their faces/arms painted as promised since I didn't want to do them the other day when all the other kids were there. Parker got one too, but we forgot to get pictures of his shooting star.

Michael was a good sport and took the kids on lots of rides. The girls were still too small to do a lot, but they had fun. We (me and the kids) did some eating too. Michael didn't have one piece of junk food. After 4 hours, a magic show, a stop in the science tent, the art area and some sitting, we took off for the lake that was near by. We had wanted to visit this lake as it had a water slide park that allowed Parker size kids to do it.

The lines were long, but Michael and Parker got in some good rides and we think Parker is hooked now.

The girls and I played at the lake which was warm and clear.

At 6, we headed home, stopped for sushi where Michael did eat some sashimi. At home, the kids pretty much collapsed into bed as did we.
