Magical

Kirala is our favorite restaurant, and a local institution. They make sushi and robata, which is Japanese grill food, and it is amazingly delicious. They are very popular, and they don't take reservations, so if you go to dinner on a Friday night, you might wait anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes. And it's worth it.

We usually try to get there right when they open, but last night it didn't work out that way, and when we walked up there were about 12 people waiting put front. We went in and put our name on the list, there were a good dozen groups in front of us, so it looked like a long wait. I added our name, and before I could even turn around the host ushered us to two seats at the bar. Unbelievable. Even the guys next to us at the bar were stunned.

I celebrated by getting a bunch of sushi I'd never had before. Which was amazing.
