All about books.

Whenever I volunteer in Parker's class, I am relieved that most of the kids are just like Elizabeth and Miranda rather than Parker. I know it intellectually, but sometimes it's hard to remember that *they* are the typical ones.  Today I was helping the kids in his class write an "all about book".  You know...all about lizards, all about baseball, all about hawaii.  There were a couple girls who could put a sentence together, but most of the kids were clueless and couldn't spell to save their life. I'm not talking about a missing letter, but writing quiet as kiyict.

Parker isn't a perfect speller either, but was writing 3-4 pages for each 3-4 sentences the other kids were doing.
