Auction Winner!

The online auction for the Piedmont elementary schools ended tonight.  The silent and live auctions are tomorrow at the $150 per ticket party that we are not attending.  They had tons of stuff available online.  Everything from manicures, museum tickets, parent parties, massages, camps, food, gift cards to get aways to Hawaii, Mexico, and Tahoe.

I only bid on three items and I dropped out of one of them (a cookie and craft party for the kids from the reading resource specialist) early on.  But tonight at 10pm, I "won" the remaining two.

The first one is Principal of the Day for the girls.  They will get to walk around with the Principal of Wildwood, visit each classroom and be introduced, make an announcement on the P.A. system and have lunch with her.  This will be a memory they have for a long time and will help the principal better know them.  Which can't be bad.

The second one was for Parker.  I bid on a bedtime story read to him by his teacher at our home. She lives a few blocks from us and he loves her so I know he will love this.  He is going to be tickled pink to have her at our house. And I know he'll remember it too.

No massages, trips, parties or dinners for me or Michael, but I think money well spent for the kids.
