Another blog for my mom
The other day I was uber productive in the morning. I went to Berkeley Bowl(to get lots of fruit), to Transports (to get parker new swim goggles), to the library (to return a book), to Target (to return something) and I also got my haircut at Super Cuts. I did all of this between the house of 8:30 and 11:30. I rarely get my haircut (every year or two years) and unless I am getting something more substantial than a trim, I just go to Super Cuts. While I was there, I picked up a magazine that I had never seen before. It was some California magazine and it had a picture of Michelle Pheiffer on the cover. I opened it up and there staring at me was John Clifford looking just like he did 34 years ago. It was an article about the latest attempt to get a Los Angeles Ballet company going and they interviewed him. I never knew the reason it all feel apart in the early 80's, but now I do. Some rich people wanted Joffrey as resident company at the Music Center instead of LAB and after than LAB couldn't get enough money to pay the dancers. I felt like I should have taken the opening of this strange magazine at this super cuts on this particular day to this page as a sign for something, but I just didn't know what.
