A christmas miracle...a fun outing to Kaiser.

We had our twin co-op today and it was my turn to go out. I had originally wanted to do some food shopping and swing by Ikea but when I remembered that Miranda still needed xrays and blood work done to rule out other poop problems, I decided that I'd better take advantage of no kid time to do that.

At first it didn't seem as though the stars were aligned for us as Michael had her Kasier card and I had a deflated tire. But when Michael agreed to meet me there and a quick stop at the gas station took care of my tire, I was good to go.

When I pulled up in front of the parking garage and the coveted single spot with the failed meter was available, I thought it was too good to be true. I actually looked around for sometime with a camera in case I was being punked.

We went into Radiology first and checked in. Then I went to the lab across the hall to register for the blood work. I figured both would take a really long time. I was wrong on both accounts. I pulled number 53 in the lab and they were on 52. I went back to tell Michael that it would be quick and I took Miranda back with me while Michael waited in Radiology. A couple minutes later, he came in to tell us they were ready for her, just as the lab guy did the same.

We went over to Radiology and Miranda went off dancing down the hallways. Happy as a clam. They lifted her up to the table where she lay perfectly still for the technicians despite the fact that we all left her alone. She was a champ. We waited a couple minutes to see if the picture was good enough and then left to go back to the lab where we were immediately called in.

Miranda literally did not make a peep. She held out her arm, watched as the needle was put in and didn't make a sound as the two vials were filled or when it was taken out. It was stunning. Even the technician was impressed and said how she wished all her clients were like this.

Considering this is the girl that cries if you look at her funny, we were both amazed at how well she did.

We got done so early, I even had time to go to Trader Joes!
