Fun at Chez Long
I'm trying a new technique to keep the kids in better moods during the day. It's a new high tech strategy I like to call "playing with them more." It seems to be working.
So far we've played a lot of duck, duck goose, hide and seek, and lots and lots of dress up (as seen here with Halloween costumes...they like to gallop around to the William Tell Overature). The girls don't quite get duck, duck goose since they get up and run every time anyone says Goose. It cracks me up. But they understand hide and seek fairly well. Miranda actually found me in a good hiding place. We are also doing lots of hiding under covers on beds and couches, something I remember doing with my dad when we were kids.

a big thing around here is "forts' made out cushions and blankets! They can spend a good 10 minutes hanging out in there by themselves without any major screaming!
