The prize.

We're still working with Eli on poop potty training. She saw Parker's sticker chart for buckling in his seat belt fast and wanted one and so I created a "walking to the potty on my own to poop" sticker chart. I told her when she got 5 stickers she could get a prize of her choosing. She thought this was great even though she had no idea what a prize was. So I asked her what she would want to get if she got 5 stickers. "A toy?" "A kitty?" "A piece of chocolate?" "A trip somehwhere?" Her response? "A leotard. A pink leotard."

Well shit. I did say any prize.

So yesterday, she got her 5th sticker. So today we went out to a kids store and went to the leotard aisle. This also happened to be the ridiculous frilly tutu and princess dress aisle, so I was a little scared. I showed her the leotards and said, "which one do you want?" She looked them over (including the sparkling purples ones with long skirts) and said, "THAT ONE!" pointing to the incredibly plain one without a skirt or shiny things. I was thrilled and ran to buy it before she could change her mind. Then she had to carry it around with her for a good hour or so while we were picking up Parker.

When we got home after our outing to City Center (see next blog), she said, "Time to put on my leotard!" She took off all her clothes, put it on and was as happy as could be. She's napping in it and nothing else right now.
