Playdates
Yesterday was a day of playdates.
First, Elizabeth and Miranda had Taran and Quinn over. Taran is a slightly older girl who seemed much older. But Miranda had a really good play date with her at her house last week, so we gave it a shot. Quinn is one of their buddies and we have had several playdates at homes, gyms and parks with her. Both of them, Taran and Quinn, are very strong willed so there was a lot of, "No, we neeeeeed to do it this way!" But they all navigated it well and there were no real problems.
Here they are having snacks.
Then Parker had Zoe and Amelia over. Zoe sits next to Parker at school and Amelia lives up the block and is on our walking school bus. I asked Parker what he would do with them and he immediately said he would show them his computer. I suggested that they might not want to play on the computer. He responded that they could watch. I tried to explain watching wasn't super fun to everyone, but...apparently it is, since the three of them played this game that teaches spanish to kids for about an hour and a half, laughing and taking turns the whole time.
The 5 year old playdate was a lot easier on me than the 4 year old play date. But, both were pretty easy so I can't complain.
