Similarlities
As I waited silently in the kids' room before they fell asleep for naps, I was reminded, once again, how similar Miranda and Parker are and how different Eli is. Eli hit the bed and didn't move again. No settling in. No adjusting. Just happy to be in bed and ready to go to sleep. Parker and Miranda, on the other hand, spent a good 15 minutes flipping and flopping, turning and twisting, pulling the covers up, pushing the covers down, adjusting, and settling in. They did it alternating. Once one stopped, the other started. It was as if they had planned it.
And speaking of similarities, this morning Michael got up with the kids at 6:11. Almost immediately Miranda started her whiny crying nonsense. I kept hearing Michael say, Give me a break Miranda. Ah come on Miranda. Do you need to go back to bed Miranda. Give it a rest Miranda. Finally at 6:30, I went down to relieve him since HE obviously needed to go back to bed. When he woke up again, I said, "tough morning?" he said, "She is just SO grumpy in the morning." It was only then did he get the irony in that statement.
