Doubly sweet

The girls came home from daycare the other day with Mother's Day present. It was this poem about growing up with girl's hand prints in a nice frame. It was very sweet and the kind of thing most mothers would love and cherish forever. (Not me of course, but I understand the sentiment.)

What seemed a little odd and which took away some of the fun of it was the fact that there were two of the exact same thing. Had there not been a name on it (Elizabeth 2009 and Miranda 2009), they would have been seemingly identical. Seeing both of them with the same cute poem made it seem really lame and even more silly than it would have seemed had there been only one. As if it shouted, "I'm just a photo copy that has been around for years and doesn't really mean anything!"

Even still, they are both on our fireplace mantle right now as the girls are really proud of them.
