Blood Test

We took the girls in to get a blood test today. The doctor wanted to check lead and iron levels (apparently a normal thing at the one year check up.) After waiting for over a hour with three kids in a small waiting room, we were called. Eli went first and screamed her head off. Michael was with her and the crying was heard everywhere. I guess they missed the vein the first time.

I went in with Miranda and figured she would be much worse since she is a true screamer. I even warned the techs. But then she sat down, held out her arm and watched the whole thing (needle in, blood drains, vial switch, needle out, bandaid on) without making a peep. Not a peep. It was incredible. I was amazed. The techs were amazed. It was stunning.

I'm still in shock.
