Annoyed or Not?

Everyone morning when I take a shower, I put on a video chosen by one or all of the kids. It last just a tad bit longer than it takes me to shower, get dressed and get ready to go. It is one of the only things that usually ensure they stay focused on something besides hitting their sibling, jumping off the couch or otherwise getting into trouble. It isn't working as well as in the past with Parker especially who is more interested in measuring things, but is still quite effective on most days.

When one of the videos starts, it scrolls some FBI warning. It looks like credit. Elizabeth says, "It's all over!" Mirands then says back to her, "No it is starting!" "No, it's over!." "No, it is starting." This goes on and on until the video starts or I tell them to knock it off.

Then yesterday, Miranda wasn't watching t.v. as she was too engrossed with her three little bears. Elizabeth was sitting alone on the couch and said, "Oh, no, it's all over!" Then she waited, looked around, realized Miranda wasn't there, got off the couch, walked into the bedroom and said, "Miranda, you have to say, No it is starting." Which Miranda did happily.

I thought the whole thing was very interesting.
