Quiet Time

Today we didn't have a lot of time in between gymnastics class and swim class for Parker (a strange one week over lap of classes that won't happen again.) I let the kids have quiet time instead of making them take naps. I told them they could take a nap if they wanted, but they didn't have to.

Elizabeth was adamant that she did NOT want to take a nap. She went upstairs to have quiet time. Miranda went in her room. Parker stayed in the living room.

After Elizabeth read a book or two it got quiet and I went to check on her and she was asleep under the covers on my bed. Miranda, who was playing with her new favorite things, Papa Bear, Mama Bear and Baby Bear, was lying on the floor quietly gazing at them all. Parker decided he was hungry and went to find his lunch box to finish it up.

Ahhhh....quiet time....
