Parker's latest thing (which, in fact, is not that recent) is drumming his hands on anything and everything he can find. He does it on the table, the couch, the floor, the walls, the doors, boxes, plates, and anything else he can find. It drives me up a wall. Michael, being a ex-drummer, understands the need to "bang" (as I call it) and isn't troubled at all by it. I spend most of my day asking Parker to stop banging and god bless him, he just doesn't seem capable of stopping.
