Exponents

Here's Parker working out 2^30. Once he finished this, I showed him how to use a scientific calculator for this, which blew his mind.

Michael - I'm curious if he's working on the grains of rice problem we discussed on Saturday.

I asked him how many grains he'd have if he got 1 on day 1, 2 on day 2, 4 on day 3, 8 on day 4, etc. where each day he got twice as many grains as the prior day.

Francis-

No mention of grains of rice over here, but Parker was adding 1+2+4+8+16, etc, etc last year around this time. In fact, he made a tshirt that has it on it. That's so last year. ;)
