Gilroy Gardens

For some bizarre reason, I decided driving over an hour to Gilroy was a good idea and took Parker and his pal Mac to a family amusement park tonight. They open up at the holiday time with a whole lights and christmas theme. Almost all the rides were perfect for the little ones. Mac loved it. Every minute of it. Parker wanted to go home almost immediately. I think because it was so damn cold, but perhaps he was overstimulated from two birthday parties, a visit from Lori, a trip to the Zoo, and this adventure. Nonetheless, we all had a cold, but good time and barely got to see half the park before we had to head back home. A short while after we arrived, Mac saw the games and wanted to play. Luckily, they were kid friendly ('everyone is a winner!') so we played. They each walked away with giant candy canes and ornaments. Which made me think of Steve Martin in the jerk. "It's a profit thing."
