bedtime

For a long time the girls had a bottle and then went to bed at 6pm. One of us would take them up to their bedroom at 6pm, feed both of them on Parker's bed, burp them, and then huck them into bed. Elizabeth always went straight to sleep, and sometimes Miranda would fuss a bit, but not too bad.

Very recently, however, the darlings have decided that this doesn't work for them. For three nights running, we've put them to bed after a bottle at 6pm, and together they raised a ruckus for the next 60 to 90 minutes. Not a lot of fun for any of us.

Tonight we triedsomething new. We gave them bottles and then let them stay up after that until they seemed tired. Elizabeth got tired at about 6:30pm and went to bed then, while Miranda stuck it out until 6:50 or so.

They each went out without a peep, so way have found our new routine.
