Not yet...

When you ask Parker something (ready for dinner? shall we get our shoes on?) these days he says "Not yet". His readiness is usually dependent on some non-time dependent activity he is doing or some random number of minutes until he is ready

So today when I asked him if he was ready to come down stairs to play with water outside, he said, "not yet". I asked him when he would be ready and he said, "When I am done counting to 100." I said, "oh, okay...what number are you on now?"

He looked at me as if I was completely insane and said, "One." Duh, mom.

And then he started counting.
