Numbers and letters creep back in...

Right or wrong, Michael and I have been working hard at encouraging Parker to play with things other than numbers and letters. We put away all the math work books, took most of the letters away (except for the fridge magnets), hidden all the word and number games, and suggest other DVDs rather than his math one. Soccer and swimming class are a part of this process. We thought it was either working really well and we could pat our selves on the back or it was just a phase and we had nothing to do with any of it.

Then today, he did these two things:

1.) We were in the bathroom at the park and he looked at my stroller and said, "There is Bob." Thinking he was referring to stuffed lovey #4, I looked around for what he was talking about. And then, there it was, B-O-B, the name of my stroller staring right at me.

2.) Coming back from the park, Parker was talking about how old the girls were. He said, they were 1 and he was 3. He then went up the chain", talking about how old he would be when they were 2, 3, etc. After skipping a few numbers, He got to 8 and said, "When the girls are 8 (THAT IS HOW OLD PETER IS!!!!!), I'll be 10 (THAT IS HOW OLD TED IS!!!!!)"

Ah, sigh.
