TPS: FIguring it out.

Referring back to comment #1 on a post from January, Parker said to me this morning.

Did you know 1+ 2+ 4 = 7?

And did you know that 4+4 = 8

And that 7 +1 = 8?

Isn't that funny?

i have a joke Parker might think is funny...

do you know why 6 is afraid of 7?

because 7 ate 9

I wonder if you want to let him discover on his own that this funny relationship is true in general; i.e.
1+2+4+8 = 15; 15+ 1 = 16; and
8+8 = 16?

Or do you want to show him that one and maybe let him explore the next steps:
1+2+4+8+16=31, etc?

I think I'll just let him discover it on his own. He seems to work best that way.

Thanks Liz. He thought that one was funny when he was 3. ;)
