Parker Reads

Parker read his first book tonight. It was a small BOB book that I picked up at the Library in the early readers section. Lots of 3 letter words and repetition. He read every word and only got "was" slightly wrong pronoucing it "waaaas" with a hard A. I got this book because it will be virtually impossible for him to really read a book we have here or that he knows from the library since he memorizes them after one reading. I suggested he read it tonight because he's been telling me a lot about words lately. What words start with. What letters are in words. Etc. I estimate he's reading really well by the time pre-k starts in September.
