A fun, wet day.

After gymnastics class today, the kids were playing in the nearby playground with their classmates Max, Emily, and Sarah. Max and Emily are 5 year old twins and Sarah is 3, so they all get along very well. It wasn't raining at the time, but they were all stomping in water puddles (which were quite deep and large). Some were pretty deep. Although Parker admitted his socks were all "squishy", Elizabeth continued to deny hers were wet at all. Miranda, who was happily scooping wet sand into a bucket for 20 mintues, all of sudden decided it was cold and wet and she was done.

As we were walking back to the car, I could hear the water in Elizabeth's boots. When I emptied them out, it was like one of those cartoons where they dump out the shoes and water and fish coming pouring out. It was ridiculous. There must have been 2 inches of water in there.

They all stripped down to their underwear and leotards and sat happily in the toasty car until we got home and I carried each of them inside one by one.
