Conversation with Parker

Parker and I were driving somewhere the other day. I turned on the CD player and almost immediately Parker, without knowing which CD was going to play, said,

"I wanna hear 9."

(This generally means that track 9 is a favorite.) So I asked,

"What is track 9?" meaning, what song is it and thinking he couldn't possibly know since he didn't know what CD it was. He replied,

"It's the one after 8."

The "Duh" was silent.
